A step too far for the kids. Hopefully a learning experience fot them. As importantly, hopefully a learning experience for BBM.

Indeed. IMO I think he got it wrong. Maybe he’ll have reservations about Turner now if Trott is unavailable?
I was wondering before the game how strong a team Wimbledon would put out. And BBM has clarified that it was a full strength side as they gave no game this weekend. We’ll see how they get on against our first team when they visit in February.
Watched the game on the box - men against boys and it showed. Whatever BBM's intentions were, after that first 20 minutes when we controlled the game, the youngsters couldn't cope with the experience they faced. They may not have been top quality, but the Wimbledon side was fit for purpose - once they'd weighed up our lads, we were overpowered. Youngsters gaining experience is all well and good, but we're out of a competition we possibly could have won. A smattering of experience to hold that side together would have gone as long way towards us still being in the next round. Never mind, onto the main purpose of this season. League One fixtures coming thick and fast, and that's what really matters.
