I'd have him back. I don't think he'd be a starter but he's effective if you play to his strengths. If he was willing to fight for his place and battle it out, defo for me.

Don't blame him at all for taking the coin. He probably will look at us now and think he should of gave it another season, but realistically he'd be in a Dan Neil situation. Probably not starting and a few million quid worse off than he is now. Nothing but good thoughts for me when I remember Jackie.

I mean, they're 9th, that's usually considered mid table, certainly more so than "top of the table" or "relegation scrap".

Personally I don't think he gets in front of Mundle. Then you've got the likes of Talbi and Adingra in the mix after that

Excited to see Mundle get up to speed. Looked good coming off the bench at the weekend comsidering how long he has been out.

I liked Jack but think we have moved on and he did the right thing for himself at the time. That it hasn't really worked out will maybe make him think about it because apart from here I don't think he has had a consistent run in a team and I think he is a confidence player!

I always say it but that first season here he looked all fart no ****e until the play offs then it just clicked and he was excellent. That isn’t going to happen if he is always being rotated!

This, shows how good our summer window was when the majority thought had the highest threshold for potential wouldn't get a start in this seasons squad!

    He made a poor move.

He got his bag, he got his agent his bag, but it never looked a good move.

He could have went somewhere like West Ham or Everton and got games and made sense but Ipswich were never giving him a run and the freedom whilst in PL.

Love the lad but he doesn’t get near a game here now.

We’re obviously a much better team now and I’m not sure any of us would’ve expected the window we’ve just had this summer..

HOWEVER truth be told I’m not sure we’ve really upgraded on the left, he certainly wouldn’t be playing for our reserves. Adingra was meant to be the big upgrade yet we’re still playing Le Fee out of position on the left most weeks. Looking at our team would we really be any worse off with Clarke playing over Talbi? Not sure myself. Talbi will a better player in years to come but as of right now i don’t think he’s much better if at all than Clarke.

I guess that's our way, though. Reinforced by reading that great Athletic article.

Clarke wasn't a great player when he started off with us but was given the opportunity, coaching and time to grow into his best version. Now we have Talbi, Adingra, Traore and Mundle to nurture. Traore is an older player but hadn't played in RLB's system with all the defensive, pressing and shape demands that are placed on the wide players.
