Would love to see the chimneys get demolished tonight. We’ve got to mock the ground when they come to us later in the season
Nlberto Solano on going on the lash with Ferguson and Howey: “My first experience of going for a drink was with Steve Howey and Duncan Ferguson (his Newcastle team-mates). They called themselves the heavyweights. They said ‘Hey, little Peruvian, want to come for a pint?’. Of course, why not? I’m sociable! In Peru, the tradition is that you get a bottle of beer and you share with everyone, with little glasses. Here we went to the Pitcher and Piano. We were only there for 45 minutes, but it was bang, bang, bang, doing the beers like that. “We went to the next bar and the next. At one point, they bought some whiskey, and I was ‘No, no, no, no, no mixing! Only beer!’. I was mullered. We came out of the bar and I didn’t know where I was and it was dark and my watch said four o’clock. I rang my ex-wife to apologise and to help me get home. ‘I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise it was so late’, I said. ‘What are you talking about?’ she said. I thought it was four in the morning. It was four in the afternoon. “That day was my welcome.”
Just the matter of Leicester and Manchester City to adjudicate on now, although Man City could be a little while, much like Titus Oates.
Ajax game abandoned. I think the sign says the letting off fireworks is forbidden. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/16o46G6Dgq/
And to think just one smoke bomb here has people in meltdowns about asthma attacks, people hospitalised, the stadium trapping hundreds in a conflagration…
Ruben Selles's Real Zaragoza have won their last three on their spin and have wiped out the nine-point deficit at the bottom of the table, and are now only three points (and goal difference) from escaping the relegation positions. I liked Ruben and thought he was shoddily treated in being sacked by us, even if in hindsight that has proved an excellent decision given the Jak's superb start.
unlike some , i dont mind him in hindsight, im fine that we sacked him, but we were bottom of the league in november 2024 and he kept us up, whether it was plain sailing or not he helped saved the club from a disaster, young players get allowed time to develop, so should managers im sure he will be a decent manager
He seemed like a decent fella and it was clearly a struggle at City last season. Not the right manager at the right time for Acun. Bit of a mystery about the disaster at Sheffield though.
look at ipswichs starting lineup tonight the manager has changed all the attackers again , its actually bonkers, how can they be consistent if youre never playing regularly?
9 goals with a total xG of less than 3. There been some good goals? ****ing hell, literally only one shot on target was saved
