In his interview he said he wants to reward the youngsters in the next round.
No idea what that looks like though.
Hes previously said he wants to win every game, so there could be conflict between those two statements.

Leave Turner between the sticks, then one or two youngsters in with the best team we can pick.

Just listened to BBMs post match interview.
A question on the side for Tuesday was raised.
BBM talked about players coming back after the Arsenal game but that it would be a young side, 'but staying within the rules of the competition'. I dont know who is at the table with him, but he regularly looks left and right looking for conformation on things. The line this time as he looked along the line was, 'but the side we pick needs to be within the rules of the competition. Ivevnot always been very good on rules.' :emoticon-0136-giggl

This is a comp we can win- we’re the highest placed team left in. It’s not every season a Wembley final is on the cards.

Saying that the youngsters got us past the last round. My view is there should be plenty of youngsters but also some more experienced players such as Osho, Robertson and Davies/Ashford. Wimbledon won’t be kids like the young gunners.

Not wishing to be pedantic, but being top of League One means we're bound to be the highest placed team left in it. :emoticon-0126-nerd:

It's probably just me not getting the "implication" in your post, but stating the bleedin' obvious was what I did get. <ok>

    7pm kick off tomorrow.
Some unusual times that games are being played at recently.

Don’t you remember the 70’s when we kicked off early to save the electricity used for those giant pylons at Ninian?

Used to get off work about 2.00 in time to watch midweek afternoon games at Newport. I worked a couple of miles from Somerton Park. My boss came with me a couple of times.

I was 6 in 1970. Dont think Id started going regularly then. It was probably '77 before I started watching with my dad and a year or two after that before my first season ticket.
By the early 80s I was playing rugby on a saturday afternoon.

Difficult to see where a goal is coming from. Kellyman needs to up his work rate.
Surprisingly no experience on the bench.

The kids can’t be blamed but the more ‘senior’ players have been poor. Turner having a shocker.

The 15 yr old just struck the crossbar<doh>

    Boys v men

While Turner could have done better we were over run second half with Joel and Mafico regularly dispossessed. Our defence didnt put up much of a show either. Worst game I have seen Lawlor play but once Osho went off injured he had no support through the middle.

In midfield Perret was anonymous the whole game and the lad at left wing (who's name I can never spell or say) never tried to take on his full back and, to me, looks short on pace for a winger. He did have one good effort saved first half.

The one bright spark for me was the youngster Donczew, who came on as sub. Is he still only 15? He had a great effort cleared on to the bar, looks very comfortable with the ball, and seemed to be able to find space when others were driving forward with the ball. He could be a real future prospect.

Disappointing that most of the young ones won't get another first team game this season but they have had a few opportunities and some may go out on loan in January for more first team experience at a lower level and come back better for it.
