I go in on the morning of the op, then all being well, home the next day.
Got to do nothing for 2 weeks, literally nothing. Cant drive, cant even visit the Mrs in hospital, they dont want me getting in and out of a car. Then take it easy for a couple more weeks, off work for 6.
They have said all the way through this, "we cannot stress enough how bad you'll feel afterwards, you'll feel like youve been hit by a bus".

Great news mate. Delighted for you both.
The people in charge seem to have left no stone unturned, which is reassuring.

Hope everything goes brilliantly for you and your missus and you can both look back on this in future years with a lot of pride and self-satisfaction.

Don't celebrate our goals too vigorously during January and February though please.
All the very best to you both!

If they offer you a bottle of liquid morphine to take home, take it.

I was given a bottle after major abdominal surgery and it was fabulous. I just floated off into my own little happy world when I took it :emoticon-0102-bigsm
