Sunderland have swooped in and have the ‘very serious intention’ of securing his services. It’s claimed Régis Le Bris’ side are ready to offer around €30m in the next window. It’s to be noted earlier claims said they are looking to sign him initially on loan.

This amount pleases Milan and the report makes it clear it would be accepted. To be clear, MilanNews24 state: ‘The sum offered satisfies the management, who consider the offer adequate to avoid capital losses and, above all, essential to raise the necessary cash to unlock the incoming transfer market for the new centre forward. Therefore, from the club’s perspective, the deal is virtually done.’

The bid is called a ‘monster offer’.

Giménez seems to have doubts about moving to Sunderland, having previously rejected Nottingham Forest, and this is currently an obstacle for the Black Cats to sign him.

The Mexican is carefully evaluating Sunderland’s project before making the final decision. Sunderland are prepared to wait, but not indefinitely.

Giménez needs to be convinced for the January transfer to go through

 

How can you describe Gimenez's style and strengths mate?

 

Most of his finishes are one touch finishes which we could really do with. He’s got a great leap on him and has scored a fair amount of headers. Strong type of striker and is good at getting on the end of things.

what has happened to this place? A rumour like this would be 2-3 pages at any point since I found this place. In fact, we used to have 2-3 pages of speculation and comments about strikers when they weren’t even any concrete rumours. Seems like loads of old posters have gone AWOL, like @Scout73

 

I read an article quoting some site that said he’d said no and we were after Gallagher. Possibly all bollocks of course

Personally I think quite a few of our transfer thread colleagues will magically reappear at the end of December

 

No transfer thread will ever live up to this last summer in fairness.

This is honestly mind blowing. I really can't believe how much of a leap we've taken in such a short space of time, our FIRST season back in the Premier League! I can't even begin to fathom who we will be linked with next but Guendouzi would be an absolutely unreal start.

I need to find this Canal+ documentary and hope it has subtitles.
