He is indeed not an overlapping full back. Hes a good basic defender though and he played Manhoef really well - watched the ball and robbed him a couple of times, then kicked him up in the air when he had to. Manhoef completely shut down five minutes after Giles went off and was soon subbed off himself. Good management, I’d call that.
What’s the reasoning behind this out of interest, Kamara out performed him in both L1 and Champ level? Could be shot to bits confidence wise though.
Could never warm to Kamara at all. Mind you I said the same about Giles and look at him now. Would be interesting to see the "Sergej Effect" on him were he to return with him in charge whether in January or next season.
A couple of the points above were raised and answered in 1904 club today. Baz said he'd asked SJ why Giles was hooked, was told why but then didnt elaborate. Re Williams, theyre hoping to get him up to playing 60 minutes in Time for FA Cup round 3 if its against someone inferior...
Yeah, I think Burstow is in good form and Kamara isn't. Appreciate its a different level but I'd rather have a player who's played a lot coming in in Jan than not. I would be recalling Kamara to be fair but loaning him somewhere else. Not sure he's really getting the most out of this season.
Kamara wouldn’t be able to play for another team this season would he? Can only play for two teams in a season, played for us an Getafe. Keep him there. The guy doesn’t need to play to get better, technical ability is there. The guy needs to improve mentally. Stick him in a school 9-5 to learn about hard work and effort.
I think like most players he does in fact need regular minutes. Taking a gap year won't improve him nor improve his value if we want to sell him.
I thought he looked reasonably sharp on occasion, couple of good goals too. Will be full of confidence after L1 and another year older, think he could do a job next year. Worst case we will get a good fee for him now. It's why Kamara being sat on the bench is doing no one any good.
