Luckily I missed the game last night, don’t think I’ll bother with the highlights Was Brosmer terrible?
I only watched the first half so can't comment on the second but he did throw 3 picks after HT so..... The one pick he threw in the first half was horrendous, not helped by a stupid play call on 4th and 1. Either run the ball or kick a FG as it was only 3-0 at the time and Darnold was struggling. Instead went for a pass which blew up quickly and instead of taking the inevitable sack he threw the ball when he was almost on the ground for a pick six. He looked ok before that but clearly went to **** after HT.
Anyway, sounds like the Vikings are going to be in the market for a QB in the offseason. Wouldn't mind us going for Mac Jones TBH. Did a decent job filling in for Purdy earlier in the season and would definitely provide some stability in the event McCarthy can't step up.
This is worst outcome I think. At best you are going to have a season like last year with Darnold where you make the playoffs but he isn’t going to be the guy who wins a Super Bowl. At worst you probably have a 7 win type season which means you don’t make the playoffs and aren’t in a position to draft one of the top QBs without giving up loads in the draft. They will sign a vet though as I think the Wilfs are mainly concerned with being competitive and you might win the playoffs as long as you are in them
The alternative is to blow it all up and start again. And I'm talking trading Jefferson as well. Kwesi has backed himself into a corner with all the free agent signings but without a good QB it's all a waste of money. So it's either got to be fix the QB situation or a full blown rebuild. If the Vikings do go down the rebuild route (which they won't) then Kwesi would have to be fired as well because he can't be trusted with high draft picks.
