We've still only got half of a team! No leaders on the pitch, **** defence No new manager bounce so not his fault. Replacement players needed asap or down we go !

Having slept on it, I’m wondering that if December also goes badly for us, will the Board back Matos in the January transfer window or pull the plug and (try to) appoint someone with proven Championship experience to keep the Club in the Championship?

Morning Taff.... The board backed Sheehan so I expect them to fully back Matos come the transfer window.
They have given him a 4 year contract so I do not see them getting rid of him so quickly.
Problem started, for me,with appointments of Duffy, Williams and so on.

How much do the recent multi millionaires contribute to buying players after what ever else they've put thier name to here ?

I'm starting to think we don't have enough "good enough" players. I have no doubt VM will improve performances, if only enough to keep us up.

I would agree with this. I suspect VM would make some very good signings, to fit his vision. I'm still hopeful (just!).

I want Vitor to succeed - period.

We could - no - will need players for a long dog fight but I’m not sure we have the playing squad or playing style to succeed without an influx of players and on/field leaders.

Bringing on Cullen and taking off Key resulted in moving Galbraith to right back - please Vitor don’t make that mistake again.

In such circumstances, I’d prefer Key stay on and Cullen remain on the bench rather than lose Galbraith from midfield. <cheers>

We should never have sold Gylfi - he was almost single handedly keeping us in the PL.

The first 30 minutes of the game had me believing that VM had got to the players with a system to win games...confidence seemed to be oozing off them....half time WBA brought 4 subs on with pace and we capitulated.....shocking....should Cabango give up the captaincy? I think yes. There is no defined leadership on the pitch as in the days of Williams and Monk. The players themselves are good enough as they proved earlier in the season.
Thank goodness we had a good stop pre match.

    I’ve commented on pace previously.

Unfortunately, we seem to struggle against pace - Leicester and Ipswich as examples also both ran through our pedestrian midfield.

Ronald and Inoussa are very quick but dont seem to want to rub fast for some reason. Do our players ever watch other teams and their players and how they set up and move with pace?

Eom is our only player that can cross a ball. That needs addressing too !

We don't have wingers, we have wing play. Is it me or were wingers better in the old days? They would actually run past people.
