I agree, he's best left where he is, for now. I think it's worth making the point though that Burstow playing in this season's team, would look better than Burstow playing in last season's team did. In a similar way to Giles (although I don't think he would have shown quite as much improvement as Giles has). I'm more hopeful of Burstow returning and looking a player transformed than Kamara, who I think will always look a player who is useful but frustrating.
I just don’t think Kamara has the mentality to make it, much like Wilks, he’s capable of having a good game at the level but will never be consistent due to his lack of fire that means players like Akintola and Joseph are preferred purely because they’ll put a shift in
I think Kamara needs an arm round him, and to start well at a club and feel the love. Our fanbase is way too fickle, players are written off after 20 mins and that's it, they have to do really well to overcome it. Look at how many were saying Destan was another Sinik, or never looked like scoring.
I agree in a sense but without ditching that powder puff approach we’ve seen so far he won’t make a success of himself anywhere higher than league 1
We'll have to see how his career progresses, he would probably bring in a decent enough fee to cover most of what Gelhardt will cost (fingers crossed), so I imagine he'll go to another Championship club in the summer.
Kamara was moderately effective last season despite all of his drawbacks and despite being in a bad side. I think Abel Hernandez was a similar case. Similar mopey look when it wasn't going well, similar lethargic style of movement, but a lot of quality that meant he could achieve a lot at this level, albeit a level below the one we made him our record signing to play at.
He did better once we were promoted again, off the back of a 20 goal season in the Championship. He was never a big goal scorer before he came to us, though I expected more than four goals in the first season.
- Abdülkadir Ömür played 80 minutes in Antalyaspor's 0-0 draw with Konyaspor - Rocco Coyle and Noah Wadsworth both played the full game in Scarborough's 0-0 draw with Alfreton Town
- Mason Burstow played 74 minutes in Bolton's 1-1 draw with Luton Town where former player Xavier Simons got sent off for a second bookable offence - Thimothée Lo-Tutala played the full game in Doncaster's 2-1 win over Peterborough United - Pharrell Brown came on in the 62nd minute in Hartlepool's 3-1 win over Truro City - Tyrell Sellars-Fleming played the full game in Scunthorpe's 4-2 defeat to Altrincham - Rocco Coyle played 69 minutes and Noah Wadsworth played the full game and got an assist in Scarborough's 1-1 draw Macclesfield
Mate wasn’t too impressed with Coyle yesterday Said Wadsworth played well Apparently myers had to go back to city cos you’re not allowed to play three players from the same club?!! They’re trying to say myers is a youth player to get him back
