Does anyone think I'm a **** for not doing my nipper a stocking this year?

My logic is that if he doesn't believe then there's no point anymore. He thinks I'm joking but I'm really not and now my family are telling me I'm out of order so I thought I'd see what you lot thought.

He even wants to put the carrot/milk/cookies out FFS.

    He's still quite young, right?

All three of mine are teenagers but we'll still do the big stocking thing, it's just what it is.

It's still great that bit, it does piss me off that one of them gets a phone on a three yearly rotation though!

After the annual travel abomination of last year, when my Mums train down was cancelled when she got to Piccadilly station, she's coming down in two weeks instead.

It'll be festive, tree up and all that, and there won't be the absolute carnage of Christmas chaos (TM the BBC) on the roads and railways.

Got a family funeral the Monday though, so all Mrs Chiefs brothers and our nieces and nephews will be around and that'll be the theme for that weekend, unfortunately.

Not sure that's good or bad.

She's (Mrs Chief) is on about a full blown Christmas dinner on the Saturday but **** that.

11 yeah. I just don't see the point really in buying random ****e that he probably won't use when there's no 'magic' associated with it.

Harder to buy little bits now than it was even a couple of years ago.

Wait till he's 19 or 16, like my two eldest.

They don't even want the latest Swans (or United) shirt or merch type stuff anymore.

Gets more difficult the older they get really. It's all clothes and smellies now.

Good doing the Christmas day beach walk and stopping off in the local though.

    You do right bro

why lie to him then spend the next few years healing the trauma

just tell him truth and crack on

You deserve the credit for working hard and buying him gifts anyway

don’t see why some fat noncey nobody in a red outfit should get the credit imho

Going to Pompey on Boxing Day albeit with no trains because we’re a deeply unserious country. Other than that I’ve given it no thought but am told we’re staying at her mum’s on Xmas Eve. Too early for this nonsense.

If someone wants to make an unnecessarily enormous meal and watch The Great Escape I’m down. Jesus wouldn’t mind.

My family around the 22nd for a get together.

Christmas eve at ma in laws, early evening finish about 8, she always likes to give gran kids a little treat Christmas eve, hasnt stopped now some are in mid 20's, they all still live the tradition of it.

Our turn for Christmas day this year, alternate with sister in law, 14 of us this year, usually 18 but bro in law as moved in with his Mrs so thats him and his son down, they may come around in the evening for a few drinks though, one niece touring Australia and nephew going to his girlfriends, which his mom isnt overjoyed about. Diner will be a traditional 3 course affair, then cheese/pate biscuits port around 8-9 pm It will go on until about 2am. Music is always down to me to sort, this year I've text them all and asked for 10 songs and will do a playlist from that.
Boxing day is Walsall v Crewe, me and the lad meeting some mates in the club around 12 ish, a few beers the match and home.
Next 2 days will be quite, a morning stroll, and feet up recovering, can't do it like I used to without a rest now. 29th footie again, nothing sorted for NY yet but around at sister in law no2 looking likely atm.
