Coventry away in 1982...midweek game, last minute decision to drive down.. absolutely pi55ed down for the entire 90 minutes and we were thrashed 6-1. Proper long drive home that
One game I remember being soaked at was against Southend under Butcher or Buxton, it probably wasn't as bad as some others where I've probably been soaked more, but it sticks in my mind. It was late November, mostly sleet and rain and we lost 2-0 at home. We were on an awful run of form at the time, it was either Butchers last game in charge or Buxtons first. It sticks in my mind as we made Southend look like Brazil, we were that bad. It was cold, heavy sleet and rain, we looked bereft of confidence, there was only about 15k there, and we were outplayed by a team with Brett Angell leading the line.
