There is/was a boozer called The Zetland opposite Middlesbrough station. Barring the odd occasion we'd be taking 500 maximum up there so we were not exactly Grade A for the smoggies so having a social beer was easy, unlike the 80's at Ayresome. Consequently The Zetland was often used before and after the game, the lager was VERY cheap but it had head on it taller than me!
And that's the moderator of this forum. Presumably the clowns are you Elfs, me, and Smudger. Three members who have been posting here for years, and have shown far more commitment to this community than Dick ever has, on his occasional flying visits. In my opinion he is not fit to be caretaker of this community, slagging it off in this manner on a cult bullying forum like ITTV.
Dr Brown's, now closed I think, was our pub of choice in Smoggyland. Went on minibus there once, and when we got on the car park an obese Keystone copper came trotting up demanding to know where the beer was. He went away disappointed as we'd supped it and got rid. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
From Kings Cross, it was either changing at York or Northallerton if you were to approach Middlesbrough from the south. If you approached from the north, we'd be changing at Darlington and doing a Usain Bolt into Hogans. Hogans was an eperience but absolutely heaven if you did spit and sawdust. At times you were getting a pint for 50p
Indeed it does. November has been a turbulent month. A good thing it's nearly over. Some stability would be most welcome.
