One of the better away days I have had was in their promotion season when they slaughtered us 6-0, we were on a shocking run and the protests were in full swing. We had less than 400 there for a Saturday game. Anyway, to get the ball rolling for an alternative thread for the likes of @TwoWrights and his chums, can you please tell me when Boothferry Halt was closed. I am also assuming it was used solely on matchdays. I went there twice and used either a taxi or a bus.
It closed in 1986 after the club and BR argued over who should pay a few thousand pounds for repairs. I've still got a couple of train tickets for the Hull Paragon to Boothferry Park run. It was used just or match days. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
My first visit was in April '86, we drew in our promotion season. A nice bit of memorabilia to have a train ticket
There's a better one than this from the mid 60's when Frank Bough (steady) visited, but I can't find it. The chairman here has just died, one of our better ones. Train halt from three minutes.
