i grew up in the seventies. Dad was bricklayer, remember constant power cuts, dad in and out of work, 4 day week and IMF.

 

I grew up in a coalfield community who thatcher declared civil war upon. Anybody from the NE defending the Tories needs to give their head a shake mate.

Shame you weren’t as concerned about coal in the 80s as you are now.

 

Who's defending thatcher, i brought up the early 70's before her. Was it not the left wing Unions declaring war on the country which got people to vote in thatcher to beat the left wing unions.

 

North Sea too expensive and dangerous to exploit ???
