Bournemouth are a good side, and I’ll be delighted if we get any sort of result from this match.
If RLB can tweak a few things and get us to play how we know we can, I reckon we will come away with 3 points.
3-1 but it’s equally important to get at least a draw from this game to stay undefeated at the SOL.

I was going for a draw until I read RTB's write up. 3 points it is then.
Will RLB change things? Will he leave it? Were the lads tired after internationals last week. Thankfully none of that is my problem.
I just have to turn up and give 100% support which I will be doing.

 

I don't expect any big changes, its not RLB style, and he has been right so far, still a bit too slow to make changes for me , and as for the Reinildo story, he needs to grow up and cut out the stupidity, it only alienates officials, and costs us big time. If he can't control himself he can take another walk, in the next window as far as I am concerned.

Cheers RTB, I dont think he will make too many changes but I do think Brobbey deserves a start, lets see if he can hold it up and bring our wingers into play.
Anyway, who am I to argue with the master, 2-1 to the lads !

So far we are always able to react after defeat
It was normal to keep the same starting 11 but now we have 2 games in a week, we may change.
We might use a 442 once again we shall see
Bournemouth are a good team we look forward to the new challenge.
We were well organised but we need to be consistent, even when not at our best we are usually in the game but this was not the case at Fulham.

We want to prepare properly for this game, we want to live these moments against the best teams in the world, we want to grow, learn and move on.

“Romaine is available for selection,” said Le Bris. “He’s a winger and he got some minutes and success as well on the pitch [for the Under-21s], so it’s possible [he could be involved]. We have the full squad though, so we don’t have to rush. Now, it’s just a question of choice, if I want to make the choice or not.

“As for Dennis and Leo (Hjelde), they still need time to build their level. They are not too far from selection as well. Sometimes, we can rush even if it’s not natural, if it’s needed, we’ll do it, but if we have this opportunity to do it naturally, I think it's better for them. It’s better for the squad as well.”

While Mundle and Cirkin have both featured for the Under-21s in the last few days, Diarra remains sidelined with the groin injury that has kept him out of action since September. The Senegalese midfielder has been making good progress in the gym with Sunderland’s medical staff, but is yet to return to outdoor training at the Academy of Light.

“He’s [Diarra] doing well.” said Le Bris. “His rehab process is positive at the minute. He’s pain free and he feels really good. But we still have a period, even if you feel good, where you know that you need time to recover inside.”

Sunderland’s director of football, Florent Ghisolfi, has already held a number of discussions with senior figures at the Senegalese FA, and while the Black Cats will not attempt to prevent Diarra from joining up with his national side, they will hope to be involved in talks over the level of his training and playing responsibilities ahead of the tournament and in the early weeks of competition.

“Those talks are already happening,” said Le Bris. “Flo is connected with national teams, so there are always conversations going on. It’s a rehab process for Habib, and we try to manage the situation between the club and the national team, not just for one or the other. I think it’s really clear that the players like to be involved in their national teams, but they also know that it’s important to play with their club as well, so it’s a balance.

“I think we can manage this balance properly with conversation, and it’s ongoing with Flo. He’s connected with everyone. You have your own interest - especially when you’re with a national team. it’s a short period so you have to have your best players available – but in the end, it’s a balance.”
