What I don’t get is him saying Gomez can’t play 90 mins which is why didn’t start v Forest. Fine.. makes sense.

But then didn’t bring him on at all to get 30 mins of fitness.

then tonight, fine again, maybe can’t start - because he hasn’t got any match fitness. Again, don’t bring him on at all even when you bring Konate off.

This obsession with moving Gravenberch to CB and bringing another forward on is just madness. It’s what I used to do 20 years ago playing football manager. Shove a load of strikers on and set tempo to attacking and hope someone does something.

Ruins all your patterns of play and you’re hoping for an overload and someone sticking it away rather than actually playing a style.

Back 4 at weekend has to be either Gomez Konate VVD Robbo or Ramsay Gomez VVD Robbo. Tell them to stay still as a back 4 and done go anywhere.

Tell grav he is playing DM and he’s not allowed to go ahead of any other midfielder. Get a proper 5 there to be solid and don’t let teams just exploit the spaces.

Consider yourself lucky you didn’t have to watch that second half. I can’t see FSG taking much more of this. Apart from conceding a ridiculous penalty, we were quite good in the first half, but that vulnerability is there and every time they attacked, you felt another goal was coming. A terrible night

The Gravenberch situation this season is unbelievable. Last season we found someone who's great at protecting the back four and starting attacks and now he's deployed as some total football genius who's supposed to assist and score. The tactical changes are baffling. Gravenberch is always looking forward instead of how he can protect us. It's at the very core of what's wrong right now.

    Yeah well put :emoticon-0148-yes:

This is more in line with my stance now I’ve calmed down a bit <laugh>

I didn’t see lack of effort and it is clearly hurting them, the major thing is the panic and mentality when we concede. We were fine and pushing, it goes 1-2 with PLENTY of time on the board and we just revert to playing likes it’s the 92nd minute and all tactics and thought goes out the window, coupled with gung ho substitutions.

it’s madness! Reset and trust yourselves ffs

Far too sensible, he’s probably thinking ‘we only ship 3 with Szob at RB’ :emoticon-0112-wonde

Hows about we stop trying to 'control' games only to invite the opposition to counter attack. All the possession and shots on target count for nothing if the ball isn't going in the back of the net, but is at the other end.

Time for us to use the direct route, Klopp used it when he needed.
Get Salah out and get Frimpong fit so we can use his speed to create for Isak

It’s now being reported that Richard Hughes’s overruled Slot on the selling of Diaz. Slot wanted to give him a new contract but Hughes didn’t think Diaz was worth it and then the fee from Bayern was too tempting.

I suspect that Edwards and Hughes are playing football manager but it matters not. Slot is incapable of setting a team up to compete apparently. I Fear for the weekend.

And to have AMC sit instead is equally mind boggling. Grav was one of the best DM last season. Macca was was of the best CMs. Why switch them FFS?

Slot has lost the pressing machine that Klopp built.

    Salah and Robbo are aging
    Diaz gone
    Nunez gone
    Jota (RIP)
Slzlob out of position half the games

I don’t actually know what he’s trying to do. It’s a half hearted press akin to Utd’s of last couple of years, no midfield structure, no idea what the full backs are doing and two very exposed CB’s who’s confidence is getting torn a new one. It’s a huge FAIL.

I don't want to get at him too much I've said for a long time including last season that I don't think he's the right manager for us, he's come and tried his best but he's not up to the task imo. Personality wise he doesn't even fit, he lacks the intensity and passion needed to manage Liverpool.

With the right manager we'll have Wirtz left Salah right in a narrow front there with overlapping full backs providing width. It'll come but will need a new manager imo.

Salah won't have to do the running that he clearly cannot do in that formation.
