Undone by a quick corner which is a shame.

Otherwise and exemplary performance and probably Richarlison's best 45mins for a long time. He benefits from having RKM up alongside him.

We were far too deep and had lost concentration from the corner.

Much better from Spurs. If we can play like that against the CL champions then we should never need to repeat that first half at the Emirates again. We need to take teams on.

Gutted we conceded that goal just before half time superb blast from Vitinha but I’m so encouraged by that first half performance.

Richarlison has been brilliant with his pressing and Muani has held the ball up well with great skill at times. His headed cross for our goal was class.

Our pressing has been excellent and we’ve passed the ball so much better today.

Should have closed down Vitinha quicker but we have defended very well.

Need to keep our heads up because we can get something out of this game.

After that half, I’d be starting Gray, Bergvall, Muani and Sarr at the weekend, too.

He also benefits from being in a high press.
Playing it long to him with his back to goal is suicide.

Yeah good first half until the moment of the equalizer. Bergvall’s flicks and tricks around the box have caused them problems.

Extremely frustrating goal to concede but it’s an unreal strike and it comes past a body (I think Bentancur) before it swerves away from Vic. Romero and the gang who were a split second late to getting to Vitinha are more at fault than the keeper for that one, in my book.

I like that we’re swamping the midfield. We always have a player near the ball to pass to, as opposed to many times this season when the likes of Xavi or the 9 have looked very isolated.

We deserve to be on even terms but are going to need to keep weathering the storm and concentrating in defence if we want to come out of the game with something,

Much better. Still not able to keep possession but I guess that’s not our forte.

Hopefully Frank has learnt our approach against Arsenal was wrong and there are better ways to set the team up.

Think we’re in for a tough second half. There are some tired legs out there already.

    Yes and no.

His hold up play has been noticeably better, and that is simply down to the fact that he has an option in RKM near him most of the time. It's when he has to compute longer distances that his brain goes to porridge.

    NEWSFLASH:

ARTETA HAS JUST BEEN BOOKED FOR MOANING TO THE OFFICIALS.

Find whoever was responsible for that and appoint him the head of the PGMOL.

Yeah I love those silky metronome players who just play the game at their own tempo.

    Shades of Pirlo to him.

It's a dying breed in modern football.

I have seen many times over the years Coaches discover improved ways to play following adverse results. Redknapp, Bobby Robson, Venables,, Burkinshaw have all done that.

Marquinhos getting smashed in the head twice. Might want to keep an eye on him.
