My original name on the old 606 was Vol au Vent Addick, in celebration of the 3 brown nosers on CL who loved a gratis Richard Murray buffet on a match day.

In fairness, Sue Parkes went on to surpass them.

I believe AHLL is on the Charlton Live podcast on a Sunday morning. I still speak to him regularly, I’ll ask him.

I've dipped right in and out over the last 10 years especially, was a real regular and the only Oz member, atleast with the name to boot.

We have the cream of Charlton posters on here. Some of that cream has turned sour. It would be great to increase the membership, but you can’t force people to join.

 

Certain people could break the habit of a lifetime, and try posting something intelligent & interesting. It might start a discussion.

 

Some of the cream is sour mate - hence the reduction in traffic it’s the people that have left that is the problem !

 

I'll see if I can find an instruction booklet for that.

I agree mate, it has been full of Mercedes and the odd Rolls Royce. Now there has been a crash and left with the odd Lada.

But I actually drive a nine-year-old Vauxhall.

 

I think that was posted to provoke an argument which isn’t very helpful. I can’t do anything about the people who have left.

 

Your Vauxhall is nothing compared to other old bangers.

 

I had my first car, a Vauxhall Corsa, from 1996 to 2019, with 210k on the clock. It would have done more had it not been rear-ended by a texting plumber. I was gutted to see the old girl go to scrap.

I have the means to drive a luxury car, but I'm really not fussed about motors. As long as she starts up, I'm happy.

 

I have never been rear ended by a plumber.

 

Painful, shocking and leaves a mess of your bumper and exhaust pipe. Not to mention the nightmares.

Not nice at all.
