Sunderland welcome Bournemouth to the Stadium of Light in the Premier League.
Last time out Sunderland lost at Fulham and Bournemouth drew with West Ham
Raul Jimenez scored a late winner as Fulham beat Sunderland in the Premier League amid driving rain at Craven Cottage, the Mexican's goal coming from Fulham's 18th shot of the game as their dominance of chances and possession looked set to go to waste. A fine cross from substitute winger Samuel Chukwueze, impressive after replacing ineffective club record signing Kevin in the second half, was turned home from close range by Jimenez.
The quality of play was generally poor throughout, but Fulham were rewarded with their second win in seven league games, and Sunderland slipped two places to sixth.

Substitute Enes Unal struck a late equaliser as Bournemouth came back from two goals down to earn a thrilling 2-2 draw with West Ham.
West Ham led 2-0 at half-time, courtesy of a double from Callum Wilson against his old club, but Marcus Tavernier reduced the deficit in the 69th minute before Unal rescued a point a minute after coming off the bench.
Unal could have then won the game for the hosts in the closing stages, but the Turkish forward was denied by a brilliant save from West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola.
Leading scorer Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert both missed out after picking up injuries during the international break, and Unal could start on Saturday if Semenyo has not recovered.
Ben Gannon-Doak is set for an extended period on the sidelines after having surgery on a hamstring injury that he picked up with Scotland.
    Regis le Bris:
“We’ll not be too positive when we win or too negative when we lose. It’s part of the journey in the Premier League.
“Resilience is a key word so we are looking forward now to preparing for a fixture at home and to be at our best. We have to improve our level to be better. The preparation was around intensity, being hard to beat, to be proactive and to be composed with the ball as well. These ideas are clean and interesting to develop, but you have to put it into practice after that. “Saturday was a tough reminder about those basics, which is really important for the future. We will work again this week to improve this part of our game.”
Presser on Friday at 12:30 or 13:30
    tbc

    Andoni Iraola:
"It is not a good result for us. We have made mistakes, and we cannot concede two goals that we conceded in the first half. Overall, we were much better and had so many changes, and I have to complain about the penalty. It is a clear red card. I don't understand the decision, but we have to analyse our mistakes. They should have played 30 minutes with 10 players.

    Betting Odds:
    Sunderland
    1/3 Bournemouth 2/5 Draw 7/25

    My two pence:
Bournemouth lost their last 2 away games and started poorly at home to West Ham at the weekend. They did finish strongly, though, and have some talented players who we’ve seen in the Championship / League 1 (Scott, Brooks and Semenyo).
We need to bounce back quickly, and this is a great opportunity.
    I’m going for a 2-0 home win

Would like to beat them as an odd revenge as last time we played them, its was there defeat that releaged us offically.

think will be a tougher game ( like normally) 3-1,

    I think it’s time Hume was dropped. I’d go…

    Roefs
    Mukiele - Ballard - Alderete - Reinildo
Sadiki - Xhaka - Le Fee
    Traore - Brobbey - Adingra

Really disappointing if he goes with another back 5 at home.

Thanks again RTB for setting the scene so well, a few tough games ahead , I would throw the kitchen sink at them from the start, with Isidor. Brobbey and Mayenda as a front three , but don,t think Reg would , hes got more to loose than me. <laugh> OaU

Really want a win to get our momentum back but Bournemouth are a really good team, we may need to grateful for a draw and finally reaching 20 points.

Need to shake something up with the team, Alderete needs to come back in and Geertruida's not thriving in the role he's been given so i'd be happy with the line up in the OP, not sure Regis will agree though.

Got to go revert to a back 4 again, we play by far our best football using it. I know we look good against better teams with a 5 but we can get at the rest with a 4. I fancy it’ll be a great game with both teams playing well and a home win.

And Hume would be the one to miss out, and possibly start Brobbey.

    Thanks for the thread @RTB

I am confident we can get something from this. We've got the crowd on our side which helps as well. Would be comforting to hit 20 points before November is out.

Great thread as always @RTB thank you

Should be a good game this, 2 evenly matched teams that play decent football.

I think we can sneak this 2-1 Traore and Isidor

The last 2 games we've lost in the league this season we have bounced straight back with a win so believe we will again on Saturday. Yes Bournemouth are a decent side but definitely beatable. Fancy them to score so will go for a 2-1 with another injury time winner.

No idea how reggie will set us up. we could really do with a solid win & good performance though, steady the ship into December.

Dont want to hear any talk of a draw i would like a back 4, Brobbey as CF for keeping hold of the ball, with Enzo and Traore on the wings start as we would like to go on and dominate them . If it doesnt work out we already know how strong the defence is .A decent ref to stop the professional fouling would help as well, as the last game we kept getting pushed off the ball with nothing given.

Wouldn’t be a disaster but we’re good enough to win, just like Bournemouth are more than good enough to come here and win comfortably. It’s an interesting game

If we go with a back 4 which i hope we do it will mean Le Fee or Rigg will have to play central. I've a feeling Reggie doesn't trust either of those in that role at this point in time anyway which is whey we've gone to the back 5. Really hope we do trust either Le Fee or Rigg though as more than anything else gives us another body further up the pitch meaning we could sustain attacks for longer. Everything just seemed to break down to quickly on Saturday.

I’d be shocked if Rigg started, wasn’t even on the bench last week.
