Sad news. What a voice Jimmy had. Such passion. One of those I heard and had to stop and soak it in.

    RIP Jimmy.

I have a tradition of always playing a song, or songs, from anyone who passes away.

After all they're part of our history whether we loved the songs or not.

In this case it was a pleasure, even though Reggae isn't my favourite genre.

There's some wise words in this song, RIP mate.

Reminds me of a joke where the punchline was I can see Deidrie now Lorraine has gone.

Seriously though, I love a bit of reggae and Jimmy Cliff did some great tunes. Wonderful World, Beautiful People is a favourite.

    RIP Jimmy.

He certainly did, he signed to Island Records before Bob Marley but never got the breakthrough expected by Chris Blackwell who achieved it with the Wailers that rightfully turned Bob into a legend.
