The heavy sleet this morning has made me consider starting the winter news section....will this bad weather effect our slick passing style......maybe not.

Being reported on pasoti that Bradley Ibrahim has turned his ankle in training and has probably damaged his ligament and could be unavailable for quite awhile.

Is it the training ground or is it the methods used in training....we do seem to suffer a lot of injuries from the training ground.

Watched the Derek Adams interview.....rather early for him to be able to come up with any real conclusions.

He did say that Tom Cleverley believed in his system and knew what he was trying to do....but that hasn't been evident to anyone else.....and the sooner it is will surely benefit the players..........I'll reserve my judgement till after a few games have been played with Derek and Tom together.....if we keep losing then things need changing and we will see how "mellow" Adams is then.

It’s not the Director and Football’s job to be involved in tactics.

Cleverley is trying to play a style of football which is prettty similar to Lowe and Schumacher. So put that in your pipe and smoke it

Been reading about Jack MacKenzie being attacked last season after the away game at Dundee United....the Aberdeen player had gone over to applaud the away fans...and he was hit in the face by part of a chair that had been thrown.

He received a deep cut over his left eye....and has permanent scarring from the 2 inch laceration that it caused.

The culprit is facing a jail sentence...........I do wonder if MacKenzie's present problems could be linked to that horrible incident.....it certainly cannot help.

Conor Hazard and Kornel Szucs are both in the Div One team of the week.

Helping to achieve a rare clean sheet for Argyle.

A few years from now and vaping will be discovered to be the new killer ...replacing nicotine ....how can it not be a future health problem....inhaling/exhaling what seems to be a huge cloud of "smoke".....you can see cars going by with vaping happening....and a misty cloud blocking their vision.

That was a very liberal school notdistant we got caned if we smoked at school. I had to wait for lunchtime and sneak out. I have never smoked "the other stuff".

I've had a heart attack and now have COPD. I smoked for around 50 years of my lifetime so as far as I'm concerned it is down to me. I am in no position to preach to anyone else on the subject. In my plus column of non polution bits. I don't drive and neverf have. I have never had a coal fire in my house and nor do I burn bonfires of waste. I grow plants and stuff instead of concreting over my garden.

Behind the main school was a building called the "Old Bike Shed". It could only be approached from one direction, giving ample time to spot incoming teachers. Undoubtedly it was known what went on there as there was a huge pile of discarded *** ends! To be fair, I remember one teacher who smoked a pipe and what a foul stench that emitted, so fair do's. Most feared though was Mr Deacon, Head of Chemistry, who was a tall, dark haired man who was never seen without his black gown. He swirled around the place and I swear he left a ghostly trail of some devilish smoke behind him. Dead ringer for Dracula and never seen in full sunlight.

I'm environmentally minded too by the way as I recycle beer cans.... that does count doesn't it?

Do you squash your beer/soft drink cans down...?....by standing them on there ends... and with one accurate foot stamp squash them completely flat......years of practice.

PS.....My mother in her later years used to chastise me for squashing cans and bottles flat....telling me...."how can they re-use that now you've done that".
