Give him a 3 year contract then we can start losing again!

He looks like a merger of accountant, brain surgeon and assassin. It’s the eyes.

I thought Quarshie settled into the game nicely, I'd like to see more of him and less of Stephens.

Anyway, Tonda has done wonders. Nobody doubted him... :bandit:

    Can’t lie, he’s very impressive.

Insane turnaround. Maybe he really is a diamond in the rough.
It’s a very odd situation as it still feels like a gamble appointing someone with such little experience… but if he wins the next couple before the international break as well; then it’s an obvious decision.

He's got us playing fast pass and move football with energy, purpose and runners and it's no flash in the pan. Plus he's getting the best out of players that are proven performers in the Championship like Manning and THB.
If we can get away with not giving him a permanent contract yet, then fine, if he forces our hand then I think that he's shown enough now to be given the job.

Thing is now, I'd be genuinely gutted if we went and appointed someone. I really would.

    I still think it's a gamble.

But, looking at the results, it's probably a gamble worth taking now.

The players look totally different and well motivated now, not one has had a below par game in the last two matches and they just appear happier as a group, that shows good man management.

OK. Give him the job. Arteta didn't have much if any management experience before Arsenal, yes he does have a massive amount as a player, but look what he has done. I think SR have finally found their man by luck.

Well, a bit of luck but Spors clearly made a point of grabbing him from Genoa and bringing him over here to lead the most senior academy group for a reason, even if it wasn’t to immediately lead the first team. Could be another feather in Spors’ cap, let’s see

I'm just astounded by how quickly he's turned things around with the same players. I know players take a bit of time to click but even the difference across the break was clear to see.

I voted for - Until the end of the season , then re assess .

Problem with doing that is if we keep on doing well , another team may take him , so I don’t know .

Is it a gamble though? The players are playing to a high standard, they clearly like him and he's showing how wingbacks should be used. It's a no brainer now for me.

Agree in the main. It is a gamble in that he is unproven. He has a very small sample of matches under no pressure, which is very impressive, but how will he fare during a rough patch? How will he fare under pressure?

Of course, any appointment is a gamble, but someone with such little experience especially is.

I just can't fully judge a manager after 4 games. No matter how impressive that sample is.

As I said after the Charlton game, the whole thing feels quite 'Pochy'. It's a GREAT opportunity for him as well, so hopefully that might engender some longer term loyalty to the club, though like with Poch/Cortese, I suspect a lot of that will depend on Spors staying a while too.
