Norwich City players presented Philippe Clement with their routine defeat experience in his first game in charge at Birmingham. Big Phil will now preside over his first home game in charge of Norwich, knowing that this season, Carrow Road is more ‘bouncy castle’ than fortress. Oxford are inbound Tuesday evening. They are also doing a crap job of Championship’ing this season although last time out they did manage to gain a point against ‘Boro. With Norwich still to secure a point at Carrow Road this season, it’s depressing to know that even if the stars align and somehow Norwich scrape a win together against Oxford, we will still be firmly rooted in the relegation zone. Anyway, I feel I’ve cheered everyone up enough now. Sorry the MDT was late. OTBC! Standby for the start of our big Belgian bounce back.

Good job Hairy! We'll win this going away and Clement will be a hero til next week. We have three who can score, now. If another, like Schwartau or Marcondes, will step up we will be ready for a run.
In Mannings last press conference he suggested that a number of players could come back after the international break, so I made an uneducated guess on who it might be. However Clement has now confirmed that no players will be returning in the next 2 weeks. I think that maybe shows where his head is at, he wants to build those returning up fitness wise as much as possible before they return, whereas thy may have been deemed fit enough to return for Manning? I wouldn’t expect a fitness update from Clement until next week at the earliest as Paddy Davitt was rather shut down in the second press conference for asking the question a second time in 3or4 days about players that Clement said were 2 weeks away from fitness
Manager has mentioned Jacob Wright this week. I do hope he starts as he is by far our best dear ball provider, and also a very good progressive ball passer. I still am unable to process the plans behind recruiting both Topic and Mattson. We were initially after Mattson, but switched to Topic when Mattson was locked in to performing for his club in Europe meaning he was not available. It all is a basic cluster fuk.
I'm thinking surely we are going to win tonight, even in the Premier league we managed to get a few decent results but here we still are getting routinely smashed by sides that were in league 1 last season. Carrow road has been like a mortuary for most of 2025 .
I’d like to see Mattsson and Wright start in midfield with McLean moved to LB. Kvistgaarden, Marcondes and Jurasek behind Sargent. Darling and McConville at CB and Stacey at RB. Kovacevic Stacey McConville Darling McLean Mattsson Wright Jurasek Kvistgaarden Marcondes Sargent
I’m expecting Clement will want to find out about some of his players by rotating them. He has watched our games but he won’t know if their performance was limited by instruction or ability
Why isn’t Kvistgaarden starting? He has scored 3 goals in three games. Sargent hasn’t scored in the last 12 matches.
