Should there be a winter break while that competition is taking place, we will lose 7 players that is a joke so Leeds we play they have no African players Man C come here with 2 players missing, or can we get the games postponed might be 3-4 weeks without those involved plus the F A cup which we need a run in what is the answer ? Wolves lose 5 players by the way !

A winter break will never work in this country, firstly the boxing day match is a deeply entrenched football traditional and secondly it rarely gets cold enough to actually abandon games (as it does in Scandinavia for example). We can't change our schedule because another continent has a tournament.

    why we have a squad,
    Mundle should be fit,
    LoN will be in defence

plus the window will be open so we can add,

    A winter break wont happen

There’ll never be a winter break here…. nor would we want one.
What should happen is that FIFA should ensure these tournaments, if indeed they must have them at all,are held at the end of the European season, not in the middle of it.

It was known we would lose these players when siging them, never has been a winter break for it and can't expect one or postponed matches as a result of it!

Sadly marra i think the constant twisting from the top foreign managers like Klopp and Pep about our festive fixture list, the Premier League have buckled hence the Boxing Day fixture seems to be disappearing

Monty will never respond, of course, but the idea of the FA introducing a winter break with about 3 weeks' notice, purely because they apparently only just realised that Sunderland have a lot of African players, did make me chuckle <laugh>

Even with all the departures Luke won’t likely start, do hope he gets a chance at some point but think it will be when the game is won/we are safe and playing in a dead rubber, cannot wait to see mundle running at full backs again mind
