I see the non-league fixtures are kicking off at 15.03 in a bid to highlight the 3UP campaign. Quite right too. It's about time the National League became League Three, or three teams go up, two automatically.

There are some big clubs in the NL who could easily compete in the EFL and even make it to League One, like Stockport and Orient have done. And the NL is mostly professional these days.

    Get it done, I say.

Carlisle United are top of the Conference, and are getting some fantastic crowds this season. They filled the away end at Southend last week - a mammoth trip.

Mark Hughes stuck with them as manager when they went down last season , and is basically working there for nothing <applause>

Hughes does not need the wedge but I bet he's on a significant bonus should they go up this season.

They reportedly have players on 3k a week there.

According to Ian Wright, some people are not ready for Jude Bellingham, the black superstar.

As long as he (JB) helps us win the World Cup, I couldn't care less what colour he is.

Black footballers are mostly hero-worshipped by football fans, so I can't really see the point in saying such things.

Wright strikes me as a bit of a wally.

Ian Wright seems to have elected himself chairman of the black players trade union.

    Rashford …Sterling …Saka…and now this .

    He’s a gobshite.

I find it a bit surprising that the BBC Sports website headlines it's Football section with a piece on how badly thatched pundit Shrek <monster> thinks Slot should be running Liverpool.

I wouldn't rate Rooney's advice on how to run a bath.

In a team that never got past the QF's at any tournament with him in it, unless I am mistaken.
Presumably most of his International goals came in qualifiers or friendlies against donkeys or minnows.

2012: After another international tournament in which the English media criticised Rooney's performances,
Fabio Capello claimed Rooney "only plays well in Manchester."

Great manager too, at Birmingham <doh> and Plymouth <doh>
So probably not superbly qualified to lecture any Premier League gaffer - something he will never be.
