I'm with you on that. Most people make tough choices about the size of their family based on their ability to afford to have kids, it should never be about what the state will provide you with.
Years ago families were big and housed in the same house with the view knock the kids out and get them in the workplace and put the money into the pot. This is how traditional Asian /far-east families still work.
Surely it’s the parents who are making them ‘suffer’, having them when they know they cannot afford to keep them.
