We will get a better idea of how good he is when we are 2-0 down and need a plan b or on a run of a couple of defeats. Then we will see what he is made of.

I presume his remit is to motivate the team to win games and he seems pretty good at this so far. WS had such promise when he arrived and look how that panned out.
You don't always need a impressive CV to succeed.

I'm not even joking when I say thats where I'm at. Nothing against Tonda as a person but this club has an enormous amount to make up to the fans.

I can't see us being in that situation for the rest of the season to be honest.

Hey, I have no idea how good Tonda is or how good he could be.

Appoint him or bring in a more experienced manager. Who knows?

Whatever happens from here, I have great respect for the man. After the Preston game we were at our lowest point. Booed off the pitch, players falling out with supporters, on a losing streak, playing poorly and in a relegation fight.

Tonda comes in and within 4 days picks the players up to win at QPR. Somehow getting some spirit out of our sorry lot. You can see the confidence shining through in the performances since then.

So it's not just that he has won 3 games in a row but we are a team now, which up to 1 November never really looked possible.

Honestly, that was the best game I've watched in a couple of years at least. Tonda deserves some time!

Just had a SR horror thought ….. TE continues his heroic management with win after win and all of a sudden, SR announce a mediocre nobody from a European 2nd tier! You just know it’s in their locker!

Thing is, this scenario is realistic and SR are in a difficult position (of their own doing)
If they appoint Tonda and then he loses a couple of games, everyone will say we should have appointed a manager with more experience or
If we now replace him with someone like Carrick or anyone else and they lose their first couple of games, everyone will be screaming with why we didn't stick with Tonda.

Oh the joys of football decision making.

And what i will just add about Tonda, apart from the way he has got us playing, if he doesn't get the job, then he has made the position a far more attractive proposition to a potential new manager than when the position first became available.

When Still left, the whole vibe was a bit toxic with what looked a mighty job on someone's hands to attempt to turn us around.

We are, and should be a much more adventurous project to attract someone higher than from a European 2nd tier club now.

The door has been opened as to what our great club can achieve

In terms of whether Tonda might be appointed permanently, yesterday hasn't changed much for me. The win was just another building block towards maybe giving it to him eventually.

Three wins in a row is great. Four wins would be even better. Five wins even better still. But it's still just one building block at a time. I think I'd be wanting Tonda to oversee a minimum of 10 games before considering giving him the job.

If anything, the bigger impact of yesterday's win is the increase in confidence and belief (amongst players and fans) and, as RAWMOK says, making us more attractive to a potential new manager.

I'd be very pleased to see Leeds getting a stuffing later today...

Absolutely, ****ed if they do, ****ed if they don't. We all display fickle fan syndrome augmented by large doses of entitlement.

Well they’ve lost all credit to the majority & that’s purely their own doing. Tough at the top isn’t it.

Yeah I said yesterday I don't envy them right now, as now we've had a few wins expectations have shot up again so if whatever they decide goes wrong they'll get absolutely slated.
