Davies, Takai, Gray, Bergvall, Kudus, Romero, Sarr and Kolo Muani have all had issues, too. No idea how many of those may be available, but neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Sarr; Johnson, Simons, Richarlison; Kolo Muani. Subs: Kinsky, Rowswell, Danso, Udogie, Bentancur, Odobert, Tel, Akhamrich, Scarlett. League form: DWLWLD. Arsenal: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Rice; Saka, Eze, Trossard; Merino. Subs: Kepa, White, Mosquera, Hincapie, Lewis-Skelly, Norgaard, Nwaneri, Dowman, Harriman-Annous. League form: WWWWWD. Ref: ****ing Michael Oliver, the ****. VAR: Michael Salisbury. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
There's talk of Muani possibly being available wearing a special mask.... Half of me says 'don't rush him back', but the other half says 'Anything that keeps the Pigeon on the bench'... But in more positive memories...it's 15 years to the day that we beat them 3-2 at the Emigrates...still one of my happiest (and most drunken) memories at a NLD!
I'm the opposite. I wouldn't be mad if we went three at the back. Porro in the bench. Spence and Odogie as wing backs. Paulinha Sarr and Bentancur in the middle. Kudus[or Johnson] and Richarlison up front. Just be hard to beat and frustrate them. PSG settings. Bring the speed on when they are tired. Johnson, Odobert, Tel/Muani, Porro and Xavi on as subs towards the end.
They’ll be up for it not because they are amazing but because they know like most teams do that we don’t cope well with pressure turn the screw and watch us give in
1 win in 32. I feel our record at Anfield and Stamford Bridge is similar. Do other teams clock up such appalling records at certain grounds?
2010 result was totally unexpected...Goons were still a force to be reckoned with and the prospects were not at all positive. One of the principal reasons for getting on the lash (at Arsenals hospitality expense) before the ko was to a) numb the pain and b) at least take something from them on the day! In my (wildest) dreams I wonder if we might get a similar result today. In my nightmares, the bout could be stopped at half time to prevent permanent damage! In reality, a draw is not impossible, but I'd take a decent battle and narrow loss. Big performances needed across the board!
