SR are hopeless owners. Bur reading through the posts of feels like quite a few want us to fail so they can continue to bitch against SR. No-one knows how good Tonda is or could be. Very few want to find out despite credible alternatives. He won two in two after the other guys won 4 in 50. Even Brian Clough would never survive today

I don't want him to fail, of course I don't want him to fail why would I? Just so I can be proven right ( or wrong as the case maybe? ) sorry I'm not that small minded.
As a fully paid up member of the Southampton Cynical Supporters Club all I'm doing is expressing my reservations about his qualifications in taking the fulltime job.
I wish I could be more positive but I'm afraid experience has taught me otherwise

Given them a lot of stick but don't envy SR now tbh, no matter which way they go now if it goes wrong they'll get pelters.

Today means we can give him a couple more games with, hopefully, no discontent from the fanbase to see how he gets on.

Clearly there isn’t a stand out candidate externally, and based on the games so far the players are playing for him. Wouldn’t be rushing into giving him the job full time just yet, but happy to give him some more games to see how it goes rather than hiring someone else straight away

Well he's got the job if we carry on like that I suspect.

If he wins 5 on the bounce I would be happy for him to stay on until the end of the season. I think.

Yeah if he wins every game for the rest of the season plus wins the FA cup, I might, you know, say, ‘well done’ or something. Maybe.

Yeah but it still wouldn’t be good that we didn’t win the league cup.

Not his fault. He can add that next season when we win the Prem. After which I'll give him a pat on the back (when no one is looking).

2 wins against poor teams could just be good fortune/new manager bounce. 3 is doing well. 5 in a row and there is something very promising there.

The last time we won five league games in a row, we were in League One. Also, Leicester are our bogey team.

I'd love to know if we've ever had a manager who has won their first five games. Seriously doubt it.
