The boy is still confused as to actually what happened today. He's watched the highlights twice already <laugh>

I'm actually not too bothered that my brother in law binned my off for a last minute weekend in spain with his wife so I missed out on the rat burger and the loss at eastleigh..

Also sort of glad it was an away game too as it will be a worthy memory for those that have been traipsing up and down the country after the team.

I was warm and tea-filled whilst watching it in the kitchen.

The 4th in particular. I was in shock, delighted and pissing myself laughing that it happened against Jones all at once!

Well whatever we may think/post, if you disagree with it or not, it is great that we are all really chuffed when our team won 5-1 away from home.

What a feeling eh? The fans deserve it. I hope everyone enjoys themselves and spends the evening with big ol' smiles on their faces!

Grrrr I wanted to poke fun at him but he was annoyingly magnanimous.

I have to say Jones took today on the chin pretty well, both during the game and after it with his post match comments. I don't like the bloke, but I have far more respect for him than Martin.

Today has certainly proved what we all thought - Still was far too defensive minded. It was joyous to watch a wingback formation work well today. Fellows looks like he's played RWB all his career, even Manning popped up with a goal!

Eckert: “…if you get that one pass right, there is a whole pitch to open up.”

    Hang it in the Louvre.

I was a little surprised you didn’t change your name to something about Romeu…

    Got to keep Tonda on.

I was anticipating draw but the reality was our best performance for over 18 months. It is quite interesting to contrast some of the previous posts in here with the match today. Someone argued that Will Still had been given the squad to get us promoted and that the problem was that Still could not get a song out of the team. Just makes you think that Still was the problem.

Amusing to see Tom put right by a thoroughly professional Southampton performance. I was very much to sticking with Still but binning him for Eckert was clearly the right decision and has transformed our fortunes.

There is a good question to be asked where we might have been had we started with Eckert in August.

Did Nathan Jones encounter Adam Blackmore at the end of the match ? Must have been difficult for AB not to gloat.

    Don’t want to curse him.

Che Adams would have been the next Harry Kane if it weren’t for me.

    Yeah, he really wouldn’t have

Although I’d have taken him back in a heartbeat this season, instead of that fella impersonating a footballer.

He and us didn’t mix well at all, fact. However I was both glad to see him go but also that despite that horrendous time has managed to do a decent job at CA and find it in himself to acknowledge us today. That’s a decent outcome.

Poor Damion. I was genuinely rooting for him today, and said that I wanted to see him for the last 15 minutes in a game with no real pressure. Sadly I think he's never going to cut it in a Saints shirt.

Can't believe no one mentioned Fellows' bit of skill to keep the ball in from going out for a throw in. Would have made showboat back in the day. Enjoyed that as much as a goal. Lovely lovely stuff

    Hang on a cotton-pickin’ minute there…

He did a pass today - step in the right direction.
