Another poor batting display today in Men IDI v New Zealand. 222 all out,in 40th over. Top order were awful again.
Ashes early start tomorrow at 2.20am. Probably catch the last session, which will be available on Fawanews SC. I fancy our chances, but time will tell. Aussie have a few injuries. Wood needs to keep fit, we need him at 100%.Pope in for Bethal
Only 72 overs bowled in a full day plus thirty minutes. 38 minutes allowed for 19 wickets taken plus two overs for change of innings still means only about 82 overs in the day. And Zog will be there tomorrow. Lucky sod.
Bethell was on as a sub for some time. I think it was for Crawley but not sure as I wasn't watching at that time. Which will mean Crawley will not be able to open the batting I think.
Aussie 58 - 0 after 10 overs, needing only 205 to win after another bizarre day of Test cricket. Weird field by Stokes, no slips, what the ****. Short ball bowling, all fielders out, it ain't working Stokes, get attacking, you are ****ing this up England.
Been watching Test cricket all my life, my favourite sport, never witnessed anything like this Test Match. I appreciate the game has changed in the past few years, but what I saw here was unbelievable. The game moved so quickly. From 3 innings of bowlers on top, Aussie cruise it in the 4th. Well done Aussie, we need to up our game.
We were not in it today, either with the bat of with the ball. A two day test match, very rare. And surely it is time to drop Crawley. He rarely makes any significant contribution to the score. I will check google, but I believe his batting average is about 35, which is very poor for a pure batsman. Edit:- checked and I was far too kind to him. 59 tests at an average of 31.55. That is nowhere near good enough.
