Clement at the presser live now: "There is nobody who can put me under more pressure than myself. In football, I want to win every game. If that is not the case, then I will analyse why we didn't win. We go full throttle for the win in Birmingham. It's a good team with good ideas - but we will go full throttle. It's not the first time I've come into a club during a season, which means the situation isn't what the expectations were inside in the club. It's a very important point for me. I'm engaged in the environment - not just the team - but also about the fan. I'm from an era where we had fans forums with supporters in between games. The people here have been open and honest about the difficulties. It's easy to sell your club to get your manager in and hide everything, but they haven't done that. They've been open. I'm confident we can turn the situation around."
Can somebody please update me (and others) on the injury situation. I know Crnac is out for the season.
From Suffolk's excellent previous summary: Squad Update ahead of the Press Conference Possible returns: (RB) Jack Stacey - Head injury in training - Could return (LB) Lucien Mahovo - Muscle injury - Could return Out: (LW/CAM) Elliott Myles - should be back in training (CAM) Gabe Forsyth - should be back in training (LB) Ben Chrisene - Hamstring Injury - Suffered a set back, should be back in training (CM) Liam Gibbs - hamstring injury - 2 weeks (CB) Jose Cordoba - Hamstring injury - Injured while on international duty - 2 weeks (LB) Jeffrey Schlupp - Hamstring injury - 4 weeks (CM) Anis Ben Slimane - Quad injury - 6 weeks (LW) Papa Amadou Diallo - Quad injury and surgery required - 6 weeks (RW/ST) Ante Crnac - Ruptured ACL - Season over
Actually, from that list of players out only Crnac, Diallo and possibly Cordoba and Chrisne would be expected to start. It possibly is not that bad in reality.
