20 runs short. They will be kicking themselves.
Might as well annoint Notts now, because the chances of any result in the last round of matches is highly unlikely.

It’s good to see another team win for a change (if they do).
It was a game for the bowlers. Both have excellent attacks for English conditions. Recent signing Tongue proved to be the difference today.
It’s a shame the best players don’t play often enough in the CC (how good would Yorkshire’s batting be?).
It’s a shame that so much of the CC is played in April and September - not the best months for cricket.

    Great umpire; great bloke.
He did a job he loved every single second of; nice work if you can get it

Sad news, but he got into the '90s! Pity he couldn't make a ton...

Uncouth, obnoxious Americans are not limited to MAGA audiences.... constant heckling of European players in the Ryder Cup - and US team doing nothing to intervene.

    Classless ****ers!

15-13 was a bit too close for comfort.
Couldn’t have coped with losing to the USA; their “fans” have shown them up for the arrogant, egocentric, entitled, vile shysters the Americans are, but you hope they won’t be.
Rivalry, banter, fierce competition and partisanship are all fine, but you should respect the rules and conventions of the game and be big enough to respect your opponents and be reasonably humble in defeat when they win deservedly. The American fans don’t get this at all.

Two years ago he was a 16 year old whose best performance in a tournament was a last 64 appearance.

    Joshua v Jake Paul
What a joke. If Joshua fights to win, he’ll probably kill him. But if it’s just a circus, then what’s the point?

I mean the former doesn't exactly sound like a worst case scenario...

It could have been better if not for our brainless batting again

Should have set the alarm for early. Stunning bowling from England, apart from Stokes who gets 5 wickets. Like Botham, seems innocuous but lethal on his day.

Yes it struck me also. Botham never looked that threatening when bowling but the wickets always fell and much the same watching Stokes. The skill is concealed but of course it's there in unusual quantity. A bit like Greaves and Kane no pyrotechnics just huge quiet skill of touch and positioning TO the ball while Stokes and Botham it's positioning and skill WITH the ball.

Not sure how I’ve never noticed there’s a cricket thread on the spurs boards (or officially “formerly a cricket thread”)Nice.

My dreams of two abysmal away records against biggest rivals disappearing this weekend was going up in smoke when I woke up about 5;15 this morning.

Great comeback by the bowlers though.

Botham was deadly in clearing out the middle order and tail.
