Much will be made of this loss but for me we lost to a team who could afford to have two players in Blake and Emannuel Thomas who would grace most starting elevens in this division. So i don't think there is much to complain about. We clearly need more width and NP can obviously see this by looking for Etuhu and another wide man. I think Devitt deserves a chance, either way i am staying positive as we are still only five points away. Lets get behind them and keep believing in them!
Keep the faith. Three points away at Forest would come in handy and reignite the belief. Wembley may yet beckon.
Top 10 will do me this season, with the permanent signings of Evans and Gerrard or Ayala in the early summer to kick off the strengthening for next year. Now, let's find that replacement for Ash...
disappointing today, the better side won I think. The main thing is for City to get back into it and start again
I think the result was fair. Cam Stewart gave us that sth extra and without him we can beat lesser teams but Cardiff was a bridge too far. This tells me Top 10 is realistic but 6th not impossible but it's between us, Leicester, Burnley & Reading now.. Leeds defence will cost them in the end.. We haven't played well since Scunny really.. Forest is a big one, they too have dropped off a bit..
Cardiff was always going to be tough. The thing with the Championship is that everyone is going to lose games. The trick is to make sure that there is a big gap between those defeats. Our form up until yesterday has been good and hopefully this will be one of those defeats that are inevitable every now and then, rather than the start of a change in form. Quite a few big games coming up though, whether play-off push or some vital experience for the squad for a real go next year, it should tell NP alot about the squad and where we really are.
WE lost tough games (albeit away) in the second half of the 2007-08 season against Bristol C Cardiff Sheff U and Ipswich. That said we won a few games on the spin. Forest is also gonna be tough - hopefully Gerrard will be fit to play otherwise the game will be another baptism of fire for Jack Hobbs.
Yea im liking that view on things, these next set of fixtures will really test the squad and give NP even more food for thought. Theres still money to spend in the summer too to strengthen so theres still great things to possibly look forward to either way.
I know it is probably management speak but the key is how to bounce back from them! If we get something at Forest we have done well, i don't think we could have had two harder games, after that we look onwards and upwards hopefully. The main problem is that we started with the deficit, either way next year i look forward to next year with this squad!
Yea hypothetically its as if we were deducted points at the start of the campaign, if we dont keep certain players next season though then the team is going to be different to the one thats been on a great run this season. So its a watch, wait and see and hope we make more permanents of our current playing sqaud. Plus, theres even more talent out there to find so who knows? Onwards and upwards indeedy!
