17, struggled with the superhero section as well, and a couple wrong in the last section.

    Cheers @Blond Bombshell.

Last week in the comments, someone dared raise the ancient philosophical conundrum: when we say “the first line of a play”, do we mean the first words spoken by a character, or do the stage directions count? The Thursday quiz condemns such quibbling, hair splitting and dramaturgical pedantry – unless of course it’s the quiz making a fuss. Still, the show must go on regardless, so limber up for another 15 questions of topical nonsense and dubious – though entirely correct – general knowledge. Let us know how you get on in the comments. Allons-y!

    A below average 6, calling 11 a good score.

    Enjoy

Going up in scale, I guessed (mostly) 8 correctly . . . . I'm (temporarily, no doubt) winning

I got two wrong where I talked myself out of the answer, so calling 8 average. Good has to be a few more points... 11 seems about right. Let's see how others get on <laugh>

7/15 This seems to be a popular score
Just wish I'd start listening to my gut rather trying to be rational.
No I haven't had beans for dinner
