Scottish fans are sound when it comes to rowdiness and local police. It’ll be the sunburn that’s the problem. These are people that struggle standing by the hot roast chickens in Asda.

Scotland weren't the only surprise qualifiers last night, in the Caribbean the tiny island of Curacao coached by 78 year old Dick Advocaat drew 0-0 in Jamaica to become the smallest country ever to qualify. Isaac Hayden playing for Jamaica coached by Steve McClaren was involved in a last minute penalty decision which was reversed by VAR.

I was in Curacao eight years ago stopping off on a cruise, it was like going back in time. Willemstad was very quaint with colourful old fashioned houses along the waterfront. It was also the only time I have seen flying fish which you might have said were their chances of ever qualifying for the World Cup...

When I was involved in geophysical (seismic) survey oil exploration work in the early 1970's based out of Aberdeen and the Shetlands our Tettents lager cans looked like this. Does that can design format still exist? After our continuous operation 6 or 8 hour shifts we went through lots of these playing bridge, when we really should have been getting our beauty sleep for our next 6 or 8 hour shift.
