Watching the highlights of that remarkable game,I got to ask myself why are the Jocks so watchable, compared to our drab England games. Aside from the sensational goals... Is it their passion, their poor World cup record, their independence, their team spirit, national pride, our predictability and sense of expectation? Or perhaps something more sinister like the state of our nation?
I found the BBC's coverage of their qualification on the 10 o'clock News last night a bit cringey and patronising.Well done to the Scots but it was only qualification not an actual trophy!
