That was phenomenal from Wales. Most I’ve enjoyed watching them since the Belgium match in the 2016 Euros. Loved every minute of it. well done Wales.
Wow where did that come from...an injury hit team playing a team that were unbeaten in the group and hadnt conceded an away goal....the question is can they do it again in the play offs...
Wales played as a team - sometimes the ‘stars’ weaken the team structure as players look to much to them. I played in school team which was a better unit without our ‘star’ player who had been released after a season with Burnley.
It was a full 90 mins performance for the first time in a very long time. Macedonia never had a spell. As much as I would say pick the same team for the playoff, it's hard to leave out players like Ben Davies. I'd certainly not be worried about putting Jordan James or Keiffer Moore on the bench though. There was magic in that performance, Dan James goal was special, I'm not just talking about the finish but the football that led up to it. There were many times when I said out loud that we were playing amazing football - slick passing, creative, finding space, attacking. It was wonderful to watch. As for the playoff opponent, I think I'd prefer to avoid Eire. Kosovo (84th in Fifa rankings) or Albania (61st) I'd be ok with. Wales are 34th at present - but that hasn't taken into account the last 2 matches which we won. On a side note - that kit is much better than the last one - I just wish it had the Adidas original logo on it instead of the triangular 3 stripes thing. Look how much better this looks :
According to the Scotcentric BBC it was only the Jocks who played last night. We got about 10 seconds, grudgingly, on BBC Breakfast and sod all mention on 5Live radio this morning. FFS!!!
So I didn't dream that then Incredible performance. Never saw that coming. Beautiful football. Please please please keep it up!
