So how do we view our national newspapers.....? If the Telegraph is seen as a right wing rag.....how do we position the others. i need to know.....incase I ever have an outdoor toilet again and need cut up newspaper to replace toilet rolls.
Times - the newspaper. Guardian/Independent - substitutes if the above is not available. Tabloids - comics/toilet paper Telegraph/Express - not funny/toilet paper

Two ex-local doctors missed out on the recent five day strike..... 1.....A former Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) doctor has been jailed after he worked shifts at three other NHS Trusts whilst faking sickness. Richard Akinrolabu...a registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology...lied to occupational health about his fitness to work at the PRUH between October 2018 and December 2021....whilst on sick leave or reduced duties but receiving full pay...he worked on-call and night shifts at three other Trusts. He was jailed for three years at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to four charges of fraud. 2.....A Doctor who claimed over £11,000 in housing benefits for a south-east London flat which didn't exist has been banned from the medical profession. Dr Olubunmi Adeagbo-Sheikh claimed £900 a month from the Department for Work and Pensions between September 2018 and September 2019....saying he was using it to pay for a flat in Gypsy Hill.....but a investigation revealed he was living with his mum in Swanley and that the Gipsey Hill flat did not even exist. He pleaded guilty to fraud and was sentenced to a 12 month community order with a 100hrs of unpaid work and he was ordered to pay back the money. Just proves that their recent 30% rise just wasn't enough to keep them on the straight and narrow.
easy Plym with the R range .. i looked at one before i got a differnt vehicle.. around 167 top speed.. amazing car
Picked up our local free paper last week.....the Bromley edition of the News Shopper. Wanted to check out the back page sports headings......with Bromley doing well in Div Two this season I expected a write-up. So what is the heading at the top in large bold writing.......Blackheath thrash Plymouth Albion....two columns of their 40-28 win....not quite the thrashing the heading was suggesting.......A tiny article about Charlton's 1-0 defeat at Wrexham.....a far larger article about Welling losing at home to Burgess Hill 1-2......also a reasonable size article about Millwall's 1-1 draw with PNE. Not a dickie bird about Bromley the local team.......I checked the front of the paper to make sure that I had picked up a Bromley edition. When my son was a teenager he used to get 2000 copies of the Orpington edition dumped at the front door each week to deliver......in those days the News Shopper was delivered all over London....it was a massive paper....but as the years passed by the Orpington edition stopped and we where covered by the Bromley edition......and even that changed and real local news tailed off....and we get "local" news from far flung corners of London.....nothing local or interesting anymore.....it of course hasn't been delivered for years......this day and age you might be able to pick a copy up from a supermarket or a stand outside of a high street shop.....comes out Thursday.....but all gone by Saturday.
I didn't realize that Joe.....of course the question that come to mind is why do you need a car that will do 167 miles an hour. One of my grandsons has bought a one-bedroom flat in South Croydon about 12 miles from here.....roughly half of that distance is restricted to a 20mph limit.....he has sometimes done that journey before 6am.....no traffic on the road and very difficult to keep to that speed limit.....so a 167mph car is not quite necessary around here.
Need and want are not the same thing Plym. There is a mad faction that won't be happy until we go back to this: And in the meantime of course, councils can waste as much money as they like on vanity projects, all raised from speeding fines.
Monday night was very cold.....and we woke up to a frostie garden and of course car......and had the heating on for a total of 5hrs during the day. This morning seems just as cold....but we've had some rain during the night so no frost. Standing at the kitchen sink doing last nights washing up now.....watching the overworked squirrels on acorn patrol doing what squirrels do....and then seeing that the drizzle had turned to big blobs of sleet....and starting to fall quite heavily now....heavy enough to turn the ground white although it is heavy watery sleet. PS.....I might have to start are winter News section mid-November this year.
