Yeah definitely, that's another factor in him wanting to stay here surely? He's comfortable, nailed on first choice, playing in his favoured position(s).

Not a chance a club offers him £60k p/w though which is the rumour.

He’s on 30k. He was on 15k last season. So people were saying anyway, I have no idea how anyone would actually know.

I was under the impression it was £30k doubling to £60k this year which is why it was so eye-watering and out of reach.

The way we offer wages, £30k p/w at the start of the summer wouldn't have even seemed that unrealistic?

I remember it being said even before Leeds were promoted that his wage made it difficult for Leeds to sell him. Sounded like it was already high even before it doubled.

It being £15k p/w doesn't seem high at all.

His wages were described as 'Premier League wages' which meant Leeds were struggling to sell.

£15k is a pretty standard wage at this level surely? I'd wager we have at least half a dozen players on that and more.

By Championship standards, no I don't think so. It'll still be a decent amount, but I can't see it being more than we pay McBurnie. I was assuming that in order to get Gelhardt to the table they'd need to offer him substantially more than he is on now, which may well border on the ridiculous but then, most of these clubs have more money than sense.

He does want to stay, but he's also got a lot of eyes on him ATM and is gaining a lot of interest. I'm not sure we'll be able to compete in the summer financially if he carries on his form.

Leeds not looking to bring him back in the Jan window ATM, but that can and may change depending on other factors including offers and also managerial changes

Time will ultimately tell with Joffy, but you really cannot over state what happiness in a job can bring to ANY of us in any job. Money isn't everything to everyone and maybe he's the kind of guy who after a few years of riding the bench is just delighted to be playing with a good group of guys, some who he's known for years. He's hardly on the bread line anyway is he,.......

I think we may be missing the x factor which may sway things for now, namely Serj, he has a very happy camp (minus Palmer), and thats being reflected on the pitch. Lose Serj, and the squad we have may disintegrate.

If asked who I'd rather sign a contract in the summer or even now between Serj and Geldhart there isn't really a question IMO...

    Gelhardt easily,
And youd be a fool to say otherwise, genuine profit to be made when it comes to selling

5 bad results in a row and itll all turn around

Serj got it wrong today etc etc

    Tale as old as time
    Also
Theres no actual option of choosing between a manager or gelhardt

    What a random thing

If you said i had to have gelhardt or ray mears on a desert island
Theres not really a question IMO

If im one question away from winning who wants to be a millionaire
And i can phone serj or gelhardt
Theres not really a question imo

You’re one question away from winning who wants to be a millionaire, and you can call Brady or Cityzen.

    Who you gonna call?

As the option is 'phone a friend' you'd be taking the money.

Ok, you call your friend, whoever it is, they get it right. How much of a backhander do you give them out of your £1m?
