Southampton go into the game having won their last two matches so will come with a bit of confidence and also backed with a sold out away end to cheer them on.

We need something out of this as the next two games being at Stoke and Coventry are going to be a test of how good we are.

Their defence is not strong but neither is our forward line, we really need to get the strikers getting some goals or we will eventually head South down the table.

You keep saying we’ll head south down the league - it hasn’t really happened yet - and this applies to every team around us ?? Just enjoy the ride :emoticon-0148-yes:

This has 2-1 to us written all over it. That's what I'll be sticking a pony on anyway.

I'll also be attending. I'm off to Belgium tomorrow, but I'll be back Friday evening and staying in the N9 home.

A lot will depend on whether the Saints have a new manager in situ by the time we play them.

The latest rumour today is that Gary O’Neill is the favourite for the job now.

A Locksbottom resident who would not need to move for the job, this will be right up his street.

He did not move when he was playing for Bolton and on the coaching staff with Liverpool.

CAFC claiming they are expecting the biggest home crowd of the season this Saturday <whistle>

They seem to be adopting this marketing ploy every week now - there were 16,000 max in the ground for West Brom, and probably 18k for Swansea.
