also if you do take the train to sheffield, unless you live near the train station you also need to get this bus add another £5+
fuel costs to drive are cheaper solo, and then if theres two of you.. double the train cost. or maybe theres a family of you if they want more people to use public transport, the prices need halving
£31 quid for the 52 miles Hull to Sheffield makes the £17 for the 24 miles Brid to Hull look reasonable. Not to mention the Scarborough to Hull line is the slowest stretch of line for that distance in the country.
£3 on the bus, and people still moaned when the subsidised max price went up from £2 to £3. Stagecoach on the other hand took the opportunity to raise their fares to the max £3
To be fair, that's each way, and takes significantly longer especially at peak times. Last time I got the bus down Bev Rd, it stopped and had to change to another as the bus driver managed to smash the passenger side wing mirror off on something near the Dorchester hotel. Must have clipped a tree or bus shelter or something.
