65 minutes, 1-0 to Preussen. No floodlights, the batsmen would have taken the light by now.

    Beer still excellent.

Update finished 2-0 in the gloom. Recommended.

Good game. The difference between having to go to Hungary for a stoic 1-0 win or having to go there and batter them.

Though you’d have thought it was a tap-in from Sam Matterface’s commentary.

In other QPR-ish news, Paal and Chery’s Suriname are close to qualifying. Hayden and Burrell (and Schteve’s) Jamaica look like having to go through a playoff as they’re currently below Curacao.

Shame about Norn Iron last night who will now be in the final pot for the playoffs.

Must be a conspiracy against him, surely it couldn’t be him ( the greatest player in mind ) throwing his toys out, again.
Love to see Roy Keane give him a pep talk.

I was doing a river dance in leprechaun fancy dress screaming for the Brits to get out by the end.

Didn’t deserve it based on the quality of play but did deserve it for Hungary being whinging bastards all game rather than finishing Ireland off when they could have easily.

Thought Manning made a big difference. Mental to play a crap centre-half in his place.

They are gutted. Legs, arms everywhere. 5 goals for Parrott the last 2 games. Parrott is in tears getting interviewed.

    Bring on the play offs.

Who are you talking about, "crap centre-half"? I assume you mean Scales? He happened to win the header at the end which lead to the winning goal. Thankfully, he wasn't crap then.

I agree that Manning made a difference. His crosses were quality.

He did win the header and was more at home in the middle but he’s never a wing-back. Seems a bit mad to not play Manning from the start. Doesn’t matter now.

A pretty underwhelming first half from England, two teams with nothing to play for really and it shows. A 0-0 wouldn't surprise...
