That's 100% true. No doubt whatsoever. But I don't see how it applies to BMGF - they are not big pharma, the meat & dairy marketing boards, etc etc who for example have clearly uses research funded by them to deliberately mislead consumers for the benefit of shareholders for decades. BMGF are not doing what they do to increase their wealth ... they're trying to give 99% of it away!! Regarding the point about population control. Tbf, they've got a point haven't they? If the population and consumption continues to grow, the world will become unsustainable. The planet would benefit from a meaningful population reduction, and I'm sure comments have been made to that effect by many ('elite' and non-elite). So yes, it's then fairy tale terriotory taking that to mean BMGF, the 'elite', whoever, have some sort of plan to kill off 94% of the population and other such fantasy stuff.
There are way more food and resources available than is needed for the number of people on this planet, it's just poorly distributed The more people being born, the greater the chance we produce more of the type of people that can resolve the problems, especially if issues like consanguinity are addressed.
Not only poorly distributed, but in some cases maliciously destroyed by the companies who were unable to sell the product. They'd rather put it in a bin and cover it in bleach to render it inedible than give it to someone in need
its pretty obvious surely? its not about the eating of meat its the ****ing conveyer belt of meat industry billions of chickens and cows that need feeding and watered and then slaughered on a conveyer belt, thats an immense amount of water and produce to even get them grown meat should not be as so easily obtainable as it is now, better for your health too
It should be all about what you have in the best possible way. Lincolnshire and East anglia is the most productive agricultural land in the UK, cereals and veg in record breaking yields but the eco warriors want to cover it in solar panels. We have upland green fields that are unsuitable for cropping but are great for and need grazing, sheep and cattle turn grass into food and in turn keep vegetation under control and fertilise the soil. What is bad are things like almond milk and avocados grown far away and flown in. Then there is food that is thrown away, solving that is not as easy as just giving it away as that under values food and distorts the market place.
There are complex issues among the wider discussion here which I'm not going to get into, but that bold part is just crazy priorities. Protecting the economic value of food cannot be a higher priority than feeding people and making good use of food that is already produced. If an economy is dependent on pointless waste and people going hungry then it isn't worth protecting.
If you think this world can sustain its self by reducing ‘meat intake’ your sadly wrong. Reducing pig and poultry for example would pour the world into hunger. We already have alarmingly reducing birth rates as it is, reducing easy eating proteins isn’t wise.
