Some would have a nervous breakdown now and be demanding boycotts if they referred to one of the shades of brown polish now in the way that they did decades ago.

It's a bastardized version of football, some lunatic picked the football up and ran with it.

There isn't a grown up version of Rugby. It's like choosing between Arsenal and Leeds. There is no good answer.

A lot of those lads are getting on tho and the team needed refreshing, we'll be fine, unlike other small countries like the windies where cricket is concerned for eg who have lost swathes of promising kids to other sports being an all black is still the number one aim for lads in NZ and I can't see that changing.

Robertson as coach isn't universally loved, even today I thought the call to take roigard off was a baffling one, bit most alarming is how we've gone backwards in defence, we are shocking under the high ball and other than lineouts today, I can't recall us forcing many turnovers....we just seem easier to get at, but this happens to all the great teams in every sport, no one can stay on top forever and it's the challenge to get back which keeps it interesting

So you think. Looking at who agrees with you is a good indicator that you are wrong,

You think "likes" on the internet is a valid indicator. You probably use facebook. I wandered into this thread as I didn't realise it was Rugby. More informed people probably just avoided it, hence the low number of posts.

Maybe we should just title a Rugby thread on a football forum as "Rugby" for idiots like me who are totally blind to it. This is the forum equivalent of the BBC headling an article "England" and when you get in it is "England Women".

Of course the people who were actually interested in the thread don't agree with my off hand comment.

The Premier League is probably the most popular sporting product in the world. I bet it gets lots of "likes". Do you like that also?

Aresnal are pretty "likey" too I guess. I don't think I'd get many likes on an Arsenal forum if I called them all arrogant ****s either. Doesn't make me wrong though.

Agreed, the Americans came up with a far superior version, which slowly but surely seems to be forcing its way into rugbys niche all over the world.

its great for socialising, american sports

going all the way to a stadium just for 90 mins, what a waste of time, 3-4 hours with lots of stoppages give plenty of time for gossiping and having a good chinwag

Fair enough, I don't have up to date knowledge on the game to have a solid opinion. It was a good game but NZ looked the poorest I have seen in decades. But as you write, ebbs and flows etc
