Liechtenstein v Wales Competition - World Cup Qualifiers Group - J Venue - Rheinpark Stadion Date - 15 November 2025 Kick off - 5pm Wales return to World Cup qualifying action tomorrow as they take on Liechtenstein in Vaduz. Craig Bellamy's side remain firmly in contention to clinch second place in Group J, so there is a huge amount riding on this month's fixtures - with North Macedonia visiting Cardiff on Tuesday night (19:45 GMT). Wales are currently 3pts behind the Macedonians but with a game in hand. That said, Wales’ goal difference is currently 6 goals worse, so they need to win by 7 tomorrow to ‘only’ need a draw next Tuesday. Of course, a draw in Liechtenstein would not be the end of their World Cup dreams, as a win over the Macedonians would secure second place in the Group. In all honesty, I can’t see Wales winning by 6 or 7, so they will have to beat North Macedonia regardless. I’m going for a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein.
Hope its more than that but with Kieffer out it means either Mark Harris or Broadhead will start up front. Neither inspiring nor regular goal scorers.
I think we will win but not convincingly. That doesn’t seem to happen much these days. Germany beat Luxembourg 2-0 last night. Croatia beat Faroe Islands 3-1 and Italy beat Moldova 2-0. You don’t see many 7-0 thrashings nowadays against so called weak nations. 2-0 would be my feeling.
A win by any score is gratefully received. We tend to make hard work of these fixtures, so a 0 - 1 will do.
Newport 4 points adrift at the bottom of League 2 - Conference starting to loom large on the horizon….
Ampadu and J James are suspended for the N Macedonia game, I wonder who Bellamy will call up to replace them? Probably players from his favourite team, meanwhile a proven Championship player in Ryan Hedges gets overlooked, I'd love to be proved wrong but I can't see Wales beating N Macedonia, a team that is yet to loose a game and has concede only three goals so far.
Harry Wilson will be back from suspension. Not like for like but gives us far more going forward. Sheehan likely to be the other one. He has never let us down.
Forgot about the returning Harry Wilson, another thing I couldn't understand was starting with Mark Harris up front, is he really better than Brennan Johnson as an out and out attacker.
Well that was frustrating! The home side's best player was the effin ref. Still don't know why the goal was disallowed and two yellows that shouldn't have been. I (also) can't see us beating NM in the next game. Our only chance is if the occasion boosts us enough to perform well enough. Also... yes I'm on repeat... their player (21?) who dived to the floor clutching his head. I detest modern football for all this nonsense.
