Rob Butler reporting that both Russell Martin and Will Still are not in the running to be our next Head Coach.

JDT and Gary O'Neil still in the frame among a couple of other unnamed candidates.

I would go for Gary O’Neil, former NCFC player who knows what it’s like to gain promotion from Championship to EPL.

I found this paragraph on the PinkUn a bit shocking…
“…currently only seven managers in the Championship were in the same job this time last year. Of those, three earned promotion from League One last term, one came tumbling down from the Premier League, and Chris Wilder only recently returned to Sheffield United…”
Which would mean only 2 managers that were in the championship last season are still in the same job!

And the two leading sides in the EPL - Arsenal and Man City - have had the same Manager for years. Patience can be a virtue as long as progress is being made,

    The latest situation:

"Former Blackburn boss Jon Dahl Tomasson and ex-Norwich midfielder Gary O'Neil remain in contention alongside other unknown coaches, although sacked Southampton chief Will Still is not, despite having been included in those early interviews. Reported Swansea target Kim Hellberg has been tracked tentatively by the club's recruitment team ahead of previous appointments, but has not been spoken to at any point as a prospective replacement for Liam Manning, despite speculation suggesting Championship interest away from south Wales.

Knapper is likely to give Norfolk Holdings a recommendation for his preferred candidate before they conduct the final discussions, with no offer made until after then. Terms, including contract length, wage and backroom staff, will be discussed with those interviewed by the owners before a final decision is made. City remain confident that their new head coach will be in charge before next Saturday's trip to face Birmingham at St Andrew's. They're keen to give them as long as possible to prepare the squad for that game, with immediate results essential as they languish in the Championship relegation zone. Those involved in the process insist, however, that it is being conducted with the long term in mind rather than simply a quick fix to alleviate their immediate problems."
