With this in mind priory park in the first ticks all the boxes. Stays 3m goes on any ground and the 6lb claim gives it bottom weight.
Newcastle 14.30 You Some Girl 4/1 Money for all the runners but I like the way she went under this jockey lto (albeit a chase)
I was looking at the listed novices chase at Cheltenham (14:20) and scanning the form of the horses to see how they fared on soft or heavy ground. I found a really interesting piece of form from Isaac Des Obeaux from a couple of years ago at Chepstow: As good as this looks on paper, a lot of water has flown under the bridge since and I think Isaac Des Obeaux is best watched today. The one I like in the race is Neil Mulholland's Double Powerful who made an excellent chase debut at the track last month and has won on both soft and heavy going over hurdles. There are bits of 4/1 knocking around and that seems like a fair price to me.
L'Eau du Sud was ridden very confidently by Skelton from the start. He knew he had THE horse under him.
