Absolutely correct decision that Deano should be in of course, but laughable that Raich Carter isn’t.
I wonder if Man Utd fans are asked : Duncam Edwards, Bobby Charlton or Ronaldo- which one should be in the HoF?
I work with his son, and if he’s a chip of the old block then Brian must have been a fantastic bloke, as Bully certainly is. On a side note bully was telling me that his dad also suffered from dementia, in the same way Chillo has, he was quite upset that the issue only gets brought to the surface when certain players are affected by it, when in actual fact hundreds, if not thousands of players, and their families, have been affected by this cruel illness. The PFA, FA and the EFL really should hang their heads in shame at the lack of support for the affected thousands, but I won’t hold my breath!
It was a good move by the club to double the number going in every year. We're starting to get closer to a point where the inductions are more meaningful rather than just getting through the process of indicting the obvious ones. I've voted Whittle this time, was torn between him and Myhill.
I think Joyce, Whittle and Davies would all be absolutely fine inductees, but for me Myhill playing for us in every division (a rare feat) puts him above those for me.
Agree, Said it before but think it’s mad he wasnt one of the first in, not just playing every division but consistently in a key position
The ones from 1910 etc should just be automatically in I’d go for Keith edwards outstanding scoring record Always thought it strange he never played in the old first division class goal scorer
I may be wrong but I think he played briefly in the First Division in his first spell at Sheff United.
The best I have seen. When he was 1 on 1 with a goalie there was no doubt in my mind he would score. Shame he never spent more time in the top division as I think he would have scored alot at that level as well.
Always been a few who constantly scored in Division 2 but never got a run in the 1st Division. Edwards Wagstaff Tynon ( Plymouth I think) Garner ( Blackburn) Def more but don’t come to mind.
Probably right there. The concept has come too late for them, there's no one around who remembers them to vote for them. And the whole point of the thing is to immortalise the memory of these people for future generations. I guess they'll get in eventually once we've got through the Edwards, Whitehurst, Houghtons etc.
I’ve voted for him, he’s my favourite ever City player. Made scoring goals look easy, and I’m fairly sure he won the golden boot in a season we were relegated. Also remember going to Bramall Lane when he’d gone back there, and him scoring a hat trick past Tony Norman.
